5R - Ο Gianpi, IK1TTD, θα είναι ενεργός (active) σε holiday style ως 5R8TD από τη Μαδαγασκάρη (μεγάλο νησί στη ΝΑ Αφρική) στα τέλη Μαΐου έως αρχές Ιουνίου 2025. Θα είναι QRV από το νησί Nosy Be (AF-057), στη ΒΔ ακτή της Μαδαγασκάρης, από 27 Μαΐου έως 4 Ιουνίου 2025, και από τα Tsarabanjina, Mitsio Islands (AF-057), μικρά νησιά στη ΒΔ ακτή της Μαδαγασκάρης, από 4-11 Ιουνίου 2025. CO - Η Ομάδα (Team) T48JM θα είναι ενεργή (active) από 19-23 Μαΐου 2025 για να γιορτάσει την 130ή επέτειο του θανάτου του Κουβανού εθνικού ήρωα José Julián Marti y Pérez (1853-1895). E6 - Ο Bob, ZL1RS, θα είναι ενεργός (active) ως E6RS από το Niue (OC-040), χώρα στον Νότιο Ειρηνικό Ωκεανό, από 27 Μαΐου έως 2 Ιουνίου 2025. Θα είναι QRV κυρίως στα 6 μέτρα FT8, με κύρια εστίαση στην ιονοσφαιρική διάδοση (ionospheric propagation) και με κάποια δραστηριότητα στα 10 μέτρα αν είναι κλειστή η Magic Band. Θα είναι επίσης διαθέσιμος και στα 6 μέτρα EME (Earth-Moon-Earth) για μία περίπου ώρα σε κάθε ανέβασμα και πέσιμο της σελήνης (moonrise and moonset). FY - Ο Antonio, DL4EA, θα είναι ενεργός (active) σε holiday style ως FY/DL4EA από τη Γαλλική Γουιάνα (French Guiana), μια υπερπόντια κτήση της Γαλλίας στα ΒΑ της Νότιας Αμερικής, από 19-21 Μαΐου 2025. Θα είναι QRV στους δορυφόρους (RS-44 και QO-100), με κάποια δραστηριότητα QRP στις HF μπάντες (βραχέα). Βλ. https://hams.at για ενεργοποιήσεις δορυφόρων.

 


KH8 - Bob, K0NR, and Joyce, K0JJW, will be active as KH8/K0NR and KH8/K0JJW from American Samoa from 27 May to 9 June 2025. "Our primary objective is activating SOTA summits, using 20m thru 10m on SSB, FT8 & FT4, 10 watts to wire antennas", they say. "We plan to do some off-summit operating, including some POTA activations". QSL via LoTW only.
OH0 - Team OH0ERF (DG0OCG, DL1STL, DL1TAM, DL5ARI, DL5AXI and DO6KD) will be active from Eckero, Aland Islands (EU-002) on 22-27 May 2025. They will operate SSB, CW and FT8 on 40, 20, 15, 10, 6 and 2 metres, as well as on 70cm and QO-100. QSL via DK0ERF; QSOs will be uploaded to LoTW and Club Log.
PZ - Antonio, DL4EA, will be active holiday style as PZ5EA from Suriname on 22-26 May 2025. He will be QRV on satellites (RS-44 and QO-100), with some QRP activity on the HF bands. QSL via LotW and eQSL.
T8 - Look for T88DZ (QSL via JR2JGR), T88HF (QSL via LoTW, eQSL, or direct to JF1GHX), and T88SG (QSL via JK1SZX) to be active on various bands and modes from Koror (OC-009) Palau on 22 May-1 June 2025.
YO - YO160ITU is the special callsign for the Federatia Romana de Radio-amatorism (FRR) to celebrate the 160th anniversary of the International Telecommunications Union on 16-31 May 2025. An anniversary diploma will be available, see https://www.qrz.com/db/YO160ITU for information.
ZA - Active on various bands and modes from 9 to 31 May 2025, ZA25GIA is a special callsign to mark this year's edition of the Giro d'Italia, the annual multiple-stage cycling race whose three opening stages took place in Albania. QSL via Club Log's OQRS.
ZL - ZL100IARU is the special callsign for New Zealand's IARU member society, NZART, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the International Amateur Radio Union from 1 May to 31 July 2025. QSOs will be uploaded to QRZ Logbook and LoTW.
ZL7 - Holger, ZL3IO, will be active again as ZL7IO from Waitangi, Chatham Islands (OC-038) on 19-26 May 2025. This will be "a working bee trip", he says, "since we have damages to antennas, and problems with the power supply". QSL via LoTW, Club Log's OQRS (preferred), or via DK7AO.

IARU SPECIAL STAMP ---> The RL, Radioamateurs du Luxembourg has announced
that Luxembourg's Post Philately has issued a special postage stamp for the 100th anniversary of the IARU. The stamp and the matching card are available on https://www.postphilately.lu/en-US/Products?qr=iaru. They can also be purchased at the RL booth at Hamradio Friedrichshafen in June; pre-orders can be sent to dx@pt.lu until 31 May 2025.

WTISD ---> Proclaimed in 2006 by the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference, World  Telecommunication and Information Society Day is celebrated annually on 17 May. Special event stations taking part in this year's celebrations include:

* A91WTIS from Bahrain (11-17 May, QSL via EC6DX)
* A60WTIS from the United Arab Emirates (15-22 May, QSL via EA7FTR); also look for A60WTIS to be activated with different suffix extensions (see qrz.com for the QSL routes).
* ER0ITU from Moldova on 10-31 May (QSL via LoTW, eQSL, QRZ Logbook, or via  ER1BF).

ZS8W ---> Yuris, ZS8W, went QRT from Marion Island on 13 May; according to Club Log, the last logged QSO was made at 09:42 UTC. Activity started on 27 April and stopped for some 70 hours between 1 and 4 May. Yuris made 31,672 QSOs (27379 FT8, 4242 CW, 51 SSB) with 9840 unique callsigns on 160-10m.
