Ένα νέο ελληνικό πρόγραμμα για FT8 είναι πλέον διαθέσιμο, το οποίο, εκτός από τις πολλές βελτιώσεις και τις νέες δυνατότητες που προσφέρει, διαθέτει και ένα ιδιαίτερα χρήσιμο χαρακτηριστικό: δύο παράθυρα BAND ACTIVITY.
Μία ακόμη πολύ χρήσιμη λειτουργία είναι ο συγχρονισμός με τον σταθμό που επιθυμούμε, απλώς κάνοντας κλικ στην επιλογή SYNC.
Διπλή παρακολούθηση στο waterfall
Ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον παρουσιάζει και η απεικόνιση στο waterfall, όπου, εκτός από τους κανονικούς «καταρράκτες» που λαμβάνει ο κύριος δέκτης, εμφανίζονται και κάποιοι με αχνό πράσινο χρώμα.
Αυτά είναι τα σήματα που λαμβάνει ο δεύτερος δέκτης ή το SDR, αλλά δεν ανιχνεύονται από τον κύριο δέκτη. Έτσι έχουμε μια επιπλέον εικόνα της μπάντας και μπορούμε να αποφεύγουμε την εκπομπή σε συχνότητες όπου ενδέχεται να υπάρχει κάποιος άλλος σταθμός που δεν βλέπει ο κύριος δέκτης.
Το πρόγραμμα περιλαμβάνει επίσης πολλές ακόμη λειτουργίες και βελτιώσεις, αξιοποιώντας αλλά και εξελίσσοντας δυνατότητες που υπάρχουν ήδη σε άλλα προγράμματα FT8.

New Greek FT8 Software by our good colleague Alexis, SV1TAY!
A new Greek software application for FT8 is now available. In addition to the numerous improvements and new features it offers, it also includes a particularly useful function: two BAND ACTIVITY windows.
This allows us to monitor simultaneously what is being received by the main receiver, as well as by a second receiver or an SDR.
Another highly useful feature is the ability to synchronise with the station of our choice simply by clicking the SYNC option.
Dual Monitoring in the Waterfall
The waterfall display is particularly interesting as well. In addition to the normal “waterfalls” received by the main receiver, some signals are displayed in a faint green colour.
These represent signals detected by the second receiver or SDR, but not by the main receiver. This provides us with an additional view of the band and helps us avoid transmitting on frequencies where another station may be present but is not visible to the main receiver.
The software also includes many additional features and enhancements, making use of, and further developing, capabilities that are already available in other FT8 applications.
