3X - Herman, YB3GIH, has been active as 3X/YB3GIH from Boffa, Guinea since 31 December 2025, and expects to remain there for about six months. He operates SSB on 20 and 15 metres. QSOs are uploaded to eQSL, Club Log, and LoTW. [TNX The Daily DX]


5N - Lars, DM1HLK, has lived in Ikeja, Nigeria since 2022, and got his 5N4DMZ licence in December 2025. For now, he is operating portable from the rooftop of his apartment complex, with a fixed setup planned for a later date. "At the moment only active in digital modes", he says, "but hope to get proficient enough to QRV in CW during 2026". QSL via LoTW and eQSL.


5Z4 - Michael, OZ6ABL, will be active as 5Z4/OZ6ABL from Watamu (LI06ap), Kenya, between 15 January and 28 February 2026. Activity will be holiday style on 80-6 metres CW, SSB, and FT8/FT4. QSL via LoTW, Club Log's OQRS, or via home call.


8P - Chris, WA7RAR, will be active again as 8P9CB from Barbados (NA-021) on 18-30 January 2026. All of his operations will be portable at various locations throughout the island, including POTA sites. He will be QRV on 20-10 metres CW and SSB. QSL via LoTW, QRZ Logbook, or direct to WA7RAR.


8Q - Ji, DS1TUW, will be active holiday style as 8Q7JI from the Maldives (AS-013) on 18-24 January 2026. He will operate mainly FT8, with some CW and SSB, on 80-10 metres. QSL via Club Log's OQRS, LoTW, or direct to home call.


CE - Jacek, SP5APW, will be active holiday style as CE7/SP5APW from Chiloe Island (SA-018) on 14-18 January 2026, and as CE8/SP5APW from Tierra del Fuego (SA-008) on 23-24 January 2026. He will operate FT8 and SSB on 20-10 metres, and FT8 on 6 metres.


CT - The Rede dos Emissores Portugueses (REP) has announced an activity open to its members across Portugal, running from 8 January to 31 December. Using the special callsign CT100REP (including /p or /m), this year-long collective activity celebrates the 100th anniversary of the founding of the REP, Portugal's IARU society. Operation is planned across various HF, VHF, and UHF bands using multiple modes (SSB, CW, Digital) and satellites. [TNX CT1END]
DL - The DARC Team SES will be active as DA2026SKI between 15 January and 15 February for the FIS Ski-Flying World Championships to be held in Oberstdorf. QSL via DK5ON, LoTW or DCL (DARC Community Logbook).
EA - "Plus Ultra" was a flying boat which completed the first transatlantic flight between Spain and South America in January 1926. To mark the centenary of that event, Cartagena Team's members will be active as AO5PU on 12-25 January. QSL via EA5GTU.
HK0/A - Chris, has been active as HK0/DF3TJ [425DXN 1809] from Provindecia (NA-049) for a few days, and will remain there until 16 January. QSL via Club Log's OQRS, or via ON5JC.
HR - Dave, VE3VSM will be active holiday style as VE3VSM/HR9 from Roatan Island (NA-057), Honduras on 5-31 January. He will operate CW and FT8. QSL via LoTW, or via home call.
I - Members of ARI Milano, ARI Cadore and ARI Brunico/Bruneck will activate special callsigns II2WOG (QSL via IQ2MI), II3COR (QSL via IQ3DD), II3WOG (QSL via IQ3ED), and II3BIA (QSL via IQ3ED) between 6 February and 22 March for the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games Milano Cortina 2026. LU_so - Gabriel, LU1WGB is active as LU1WGB/Z from the Joint Antarctic Base Orcadas on Laurie Island, South Orkney Islands (AN-008) until 22 February. He operates FT8 with a QRP SDR transceiver and a dipole. [TNX The Daily DX]
VP2V - Jonathan, W5GI is active as VP2V/W5GI from Anegada, British Virgin Islands (NA-023) until 20 January. He operates SSB and FT8 on 40-10 metres. QSL via LoTW.
YB - Dave, PB2X will be active as YB5/PB2X from West Sulawesi, Indonesia between 15 January and 5 February. He will operate CW, SSB and FT8 ("if I get it working in time") on 80-10 metres. QSL via home call.

AU7RS: POSTPONED ---> Critical low-band antennas are held up in customs, and  consequently the 10-22 January DXpedition to Agatti, Lakshadweep Islands has had to be postponed. The new dates will be announced as soon as possible. Also, the team is awaiting updates regarding foreign reciprocal licenses. "If needed", Sarath (VU2RS) says, "we'll explore shifting to another island where foreign nationals are allowed": https://www.vu2rs.com/vu7r/.

DX PEDITION TROPHY --- > The DX Pedition Trophy (DXPT) is an annual global amateur radio competition designed to encourage and reward contacts made with selected major DXpeditions. It runs from 1 January to 31 December, and the award programme for registered users is managed automatically. SAN AMBROSIO 2026: POSTPONED ---> Felipe, XQ7IR, says that the relevant authorities are processing his request to land and operate from San Ambrosio Island (CE0X) for the upcoming fishing season, which runs from September 2026 to March 2027. Consequently, the operation originally scheduled for 12 January-15 February 2026 must be postponed. Felipe will contact each sponsor and donor individually to discuss how they wish to proceed with their contribution, in light of the support and donations received to date.
