9G5X DXpedition to Ghana 7^th to 21^st March 2017

We’re pleased to announce that a team of six English operators will be travelling to Ghana in March 2017 and will operate on all modes as 9G5X using three Elecraft K3 and KPA-500 stations. We will be QRV on all bands 160-10 m and active on CW, SSB and RTTY. The experienced operating team, which includes three of the recent C5X DXpedition crew members, is as follows:

PX2CA and ZZ5FI – Castilho and Figueira, SA-024 and SA-047

Operating from two islands simultaneously, look for PY2AE, PY2DS, PY2VOX and PU2POP to be active from Castilho island SA-024 and Figueira islands SA-047 during March 2-3, 2017.

RI0Z – Komandorskiye Islands, AS-039

In the period July-August of 2017, a group of Amateur radio operators is preparing an expedition to the Commander Islands group AS-039. Commander Islands — an archipelago of four Islands in the South-Western part of the Bering sea of the Pacific ocean. The administrative part of the Aleut district of the Kamchatka Krai of Russia. The island is named after who discovered them in 1741, Explorer commander Vitus Bering. In the team’s plans included visiting the most remote Islands – Mednyj (Copper). Island remote from the American Aleutian Islands at a distance of 190 miles. [LINK]. Google Maps.

Members of ARA, together with Vladimir, UA4WHX, and Irina, RA4WHX, are active from Djebel Chélia mountain as 7W0A until January 28th. QRV all bands/all modes.
